An accredited Exercise Physiologist with a PhD from Queensland University of Technology, a Masters degree (with honours) and a Bachelor of Applied Science from University of Wollongong, Dr Meerkin is an expert in DEXA technology. Following his PhD, Dr Meerkin was the National Sports Science Research Coordinator for the Australian Paralympic Committee. He then returned to QUT for 4 years as a senior research fellow in the obesity and exercise research domain. Re-establishing himself in Sydney 6 years ago as a practicing clinician he has continued his research and clinical practice utilising DEXA technology.
