She then travelled to Johns Hopkins University where she focused on examining the altered genetics of serous ovarian carcinoma, and she continued that research at Louisiana State University. She has focused on how specific DNA-binding proteins are altered in cancer, and demonstrated that defining these proteins’ target regions may lead to novel cancer treatments. Her current research is focused on defining specific cellular pathways that may be altered by these DNA-binding proteins in human carcinomas.
